< 1 min reading time I’m not sure if this is the right forum, but I’m looking for some information regarding methods of disinfection in medical facilities. I have worked on a system that was very effective in killing very aggressive agents and was thinking that other potential applications might include medical facilities. Can someone provide direction? source: https://www.linkedin.com/groups/78665/78665-6147892559055241219 Marked as spam |

Private answer Vincent Suzara Just remember it's more of a metals surface thing in medical. If your process won't fry electronics (read my patent) we're interested. Marked as spam
![]() Private answer Barry Martin Jacob, Thank you for your response. After reading a bit about the ethylene oxide sterilization, I think the applications for what I have in mind is very different and would have different applications and strengths. The system I was mentioning generates a liquid rather than a gas and would be applied as a wet film. I see it not being used in the same way that I read about EtO. Marked as spam
![]() Private answer Barry Martin Vincent, Thanks for the comment. The disinfection media is a liquid film, so contact surfaces is really my focus of applications. The media responded very quickly and effectively, so I'm thinking it may be advantageous. I need to find the right partner. Marked as spam
Private answer Vincent Suzara Barry, a pleasure. To the degree you can share, does the process involve any heating and is the liquid corrosive in any way to metals or polymers? Our devices are micro-motor based and obviously need to be sterile. Thanks Marked as spam
![]() Private answer Barry Martin No heat is involved and to my mind is relatively low on corrosion, but there are some components that would be considered corrosive to some materials. I was thinking of surfaces such as walls, floors, counters, etc. While the fluid may be used with other equipment, I'd want to look at specifics before commenting. Marked as spam
