How to fix your supply chain before it breaks down
2 min reading time

This short video is for anyone who touches operations: https://medgroup.biz/supplychain.

“I see a lot of issues that never get resolved until they reach a breakpoint that senior executives must address,” says Carlos Soares, the newest member of our Medical Devices Group Advisory Board.

Carlos has procurement, supply chain strategy, and operations excellence experience with Alcon, Philips, Boston Scientific, and others. He says,

“It’s hard to convince leadership to prioritize sound supply-chain initiatives over marketing and sales ones. The value argument gets lost in fear that improvements come at the expense of sales volume or customer service.”

I invited Carlos to tell us more on a live webinar, March 14.

You’ll understand what large-scale transformations look like and learn why Carlos wraps cost reduction arguments in EBITDA and growth.

Join us and receive:
• A framework you can use the next time you have to sell your plan to management
• His secret to finding where wasteful procurement spending happens
• The attack plan for most business and manufacturing process challenges
• Clues how to streamline, reduce waste and lead times in almost any situation

All are invited, especially:
• The C-Suite, senior execs and their direct reports
• Supply chain and procurement managers
• Operations excellence and process improvement professionals
• Manufacturing, distribution, and service professionals

The replay, slides, and transcript will be available to all who register now at https://medgroup.biz/supplychain. It’s free.

Hello Sean, apologies for not seeing this question come in sooner. The selection and implementation of ERP solutions are very important to fix supply chain issues. Best practices are to ensure that you have your strategy and processes working optimally before you select and implement an ERP solution. Often times, fixing supply chain issues means process changes, supplier changes and even organizational changes. Once you’ve managed to fix your issues, or stabilize your processes, then you can design requirements for an ERP system and use them for the selection of a solutions provider. A well-done assessment should take into account what will be done beforehand and what might get fixed by the solution itself, and therefore becomes part of the integrated roadmap. I do not work with specific providers but am familiar with many of the offerings that are out there. I hope this answers your question. Feel free to reach out directly if you would like to discuss further. Regards, Carlos.
